Big New Year Gospel Bash

The Gospel Praise Radio Broadcast will sponsor the Big New Year Gospel Bash at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at United In Faith Ministries, 330 View Point Drive, Jackson. St. Mary, Mother of God

St. Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church, at 359 Old Griffin Road, Jackson, has Saturday mass at 5 p.m. and Sunday mass at 9 a.m. Religious education is on Sundays from 10:20 to 11:20 a.m. Youth group, which is for middle through high school ages, takes place the second Sunday of each month, following religious education. Order of Christian Initiation for Adults meets Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to discuss faith and learn more about Catholicism. Daily Chaplet of Divine Mercy is at 3 p.m.

First Baptist

Jackson First Baptist Church, located at 1227 W. Third St., hosts the Ironmen Bible Study led by Pastor Cary Snelling every Wednesday at 6 a.m. All men are invited. Breakfast is free.
