Jackson UMC

Jackson United Methodist Church, at 409 E. Third St., Jackson, will host an Ash Wednesday service in the sanctuary at 7 p.m. March 6.

The church hosts Sunday worship at 8:30 a.m. for radio, a harvest service at 8:45 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m.

A grief counseling support group with the Rev. Ben Wright will resume weekly meetings at 7 p.m. April 11 in the education building. There is no fee charged for attending the group. Stark Tabernacle

Stark Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, at 311 Beaty Circle, Flovilla, will celebrate Pastor Tony and First Lady Frances Head’s 15th pastoral anniversary March 6-10. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. March 6-9 and at noon March 10.

Ole Country

Bold Springs CME

Bold Springs Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, at 169 England Chapel Road, Jackson, will host a three-night spring revival at 7:30 p.m. March 13-15. The Rev. Eddie F. Collier, pastor of the Towaliga County Line Baptist Church of Jackson, will be the revivalist for the week. Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, at 557 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Flovilla, will host a pastor aide three-night revival at 7 p.m. March 27-29. Rock Creek Baptist

Rock Creek Baptist Church, at 2051 Ga. Highway 42 S., Flovilla, will host a gospel fest featuring The Prodigal Sons of Jackson at 5 p.m. March 31. Doors will open at 4 p.m. Other guests include True Praise of Jackson, Gospel Enchanters of Jackson, Madisonaires of Madison, God’s Seeds of Joy of Atlanta, New Silveraires of Monticello, Dixieaires of Thomaston, Bishop Randall Day of Vidalia and New Silver Stars of Macon.

St. Mary,

Mother of God

St. Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church, at 359 Old Griffin Road, Jackson, has Saturday mass at 5 p.m. and Sunday mass at 9 a.m. Religious education is on Sundays from 10:20 to 11:20 a.m. Youth group, which is for middle through high school ages, takes place the second Sunday of each month, following religious education. Order of Christian Initiation for Adults meets Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to discuss faith and learn more about Catholicism. Daily Chaplet of Divine Mercy is at 3 p.m.

First Baptist

Jackson First Baptist Church, located at 1227 W. Third St., hosts the Ironmen Bible Study led by Pastor Cary Snelling every Wednesday at 6 a.m. All men are invited. Breakfast is free.

Macedonia Baptist

Macedonia Baptist Church, at 151 Macedonia Church Road, Jackson, hosts Bible study for all ages each Sunday at 9 a.m. followed by a worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday night supper is from 5:45 to 6:30. Reservations are appreciated. Awana for children, LINK for youth, adult choir practice and adult Bible study are from 6:45 to 8 p.m.
