SAVANNAH — Jackson Mayor Kay Pippin was elected to the board of directors of the Georgia Municipal Association during the association’s annual meeting in Savannah on June 23.

Pippin will serve an at-large position on the board.

“We are pleased to have Mayor Pippin serving in this leadership position,” said GMA Executive Director Larry Hanson. “She’s well respected by her colleagues, and she provides excellent guidance to the GMA board of directors.”

Pippin was elected mayor of Jackson in 2013 and reelected in 2017.

Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, nonprofit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and technical assistance services to its 538 member cities.
