Steve and Amelia Davies of Jackson are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Katie Davies to Cory Adkins, son of Karen Peters of Forsyth and Windell Adkins of Macon.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gene and Martha Morton and Harold Davies and the late Liz Davies all of Jackson. She is a 2010 graduate of Mary Persons High School and she is employed by the Monroe County Board of Education and Publix.

The future groom is the grandson of Margaret Gill of Macon and the late William Gill and the late James and Ruby Adkins of Macon. He is a 2011 graduate of Mary Persons High School and he is employed by Perdue.

The wedding is set for Nov. 9 at Rum Creek Banquet Hall. The couple will make their home in Forsyth.
