Jackson went Hollywood, if just for a day, as a crew descended on the town square Monday to film for the TV series “Stranger Things.”

According to a letter from the production company to area residents and businesses, Camp Hero Productions requested Mulberry, Second and Oak streets be closed around the square from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Nov. 23 for filming. The parking spaces on those streets were blocked as well, though the city parking lots were open.

In preparation for the shoot, crews this month were on the square painting the facades of several businesses on the square, including Jackson Drug, and adding props and signage.
