The latest Jackson-Butts County Public Library Summer Reading Club program featured a collection of reptiles presented by Animal Tales Southeast.

The interactive learning show June 18 taught kids how to treat animals with respect and care for the environment.

Audience members also got to go up and touch the animals, including a boa constrictor snake, a yellow foot tortoise, an African bullfrog and a legless lizard.

Presenter Vicky Arvelo encouraged audience members to visit the library to check out books on the animals she discussed.

The Summer Reading Program presents a different show each Tuesday throughout the summer at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the library, located at 436 E. College St., Jackson.
