Daniels donate to Red Devil rhetoric contest

Butts County Board of Education Chairman Millard Daniel and his wife Mary Frances Daniel recently presented Laura LaChappelle, the Jackson High School speech and debate team sponsor, with a $200 donation to help fund the Red Devil Rhetoric Contest at Jackson High on Jan. 13.

This year, 27 schools from Georgia and one school from North Carolina participated in the annual event and set a record.

The Daniels also served as volunteer judges for the contest.
