Members of the Azalea Garden Club recently celebrated National Garden Week with a slate of events.

Members hung signs in Pepperton Park and at the Jackson welcome sign on Ga. Highway 16 near First Baptist Church.

The club — along with members of the Mimosa and Cherokee garden clubs — also received a proclamation from the Jackson City Council during the council’s June 4 meeting, recognizing the week of June 2-8 as National Garden Week in the city.

Azalea members also toured the Beulahland Hydrangea Garden in Bolingbroke and visited the Whistle Stop Cafe in Juliette.
