Bibb County Teacher Recruitment Fair, March 7

The Bibb County School District will host its annual Teacher Recruitment Fair on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. until noon. This event will take place at Rutland High School, located at 6250 Skipper Road, Macon, GA 31216. Prospective teachers must be certified, be able to obtain certification by July 2020 or be eligible for a strategic waiver in lieu of certification. Interviews will be available with each of the District’s principals for open positions, and interested candidates should wear professional dress and bring updated resume copies. Arts Scholarship Deadline March 19{/h2}

Jackson-Butts County Council for the Arts will award a $1,000 scholarship to a Butts County senior continuing education in an art-related field again this year. The scholarship is open to any resident of Butts County who will graduate from high school by June 2020 and plans to study art, music, theater, dance, writing, design, etc. after graduation. The deadline for applications in Thursday, March 19. Applications are available from the Jackson High School counselor’s office or from any Arts Council member. Amateur Radio Club license testing, March 21
