Part of the Red Devils’ efforts this year to reach out to younger athletes will come May 18, when the program and its cheerleaders will present clinics for Parks and Recreation players and cheerleaders involving returning college athletes.

Jackson High’s lowest scorer in the boys tournament was Drake Rogers, a sophomore who shot a 93. Katie Gafford shot a team-low 117 on the girls side.
The Jackson High boys soccer team, riding an undefeated region championship season, will face off against Jefferson County High on Friday, May 3 at Red Devil Hill.
Jackson last year lost both first-round games to the Bulldogs in McDuffie County, and were ousted from playoff play.
The Red Devils took on first-round winner Peach County and were upset 1-4.
The two teams were tied, 32-32, at halftime. But a second win was not in the cards for the Tigers this year.
