Church News: Hearty Bunch at First Baptist Thursday

The Senior Adult Hearty Bunch at First Baptist Church of Jackson will meet Thursday, Jan. 12 at 11 a.m.

LifeLine Screening for early detection of stroke risk will be conducted at First Baptist Jackson on Monday, Jan. 16. The cost is $60 for any one vascular screening or $149 for all five tests. Pre-registration is mandatory and space is limited. Call the church office for more information.

All men are invited to join the men of First Baptist Church in attending the Johnny Hunt Men's Conference that will be held on Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4 at the First Baptist Church of Woodstock. Registrations are being taken through Sunday, Jan. 15.

Offering envelopes for 2012 are now available in the hallway by the church office.

Abundant Life

Prayer and fasting for the upcoming year will be Jan. 8-29, Tuesdays and Saturdays at 6 p.m., during the fast, at Abundant Life church.

Courageous Small Group with Ryan Rigsby will be Sundays at 9:45 a.m.

Monday nights at 7 p.m., the church offers a Spanish Bible class and recovery classes.

Fuel Kids Presents: “Living Inside Out” on Wednesdays starting Jan. 4.

Faithwalkers

Zion Missionary

The United Coalition of Jackson will host the 26th annual King Holiday Celebration Jan. 16 at 1:30 p.m., at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 709 S. Mulberry Street, in Jackson. Joshua’s Place

The Crushing is held every Thursday night at 7 p.m. This is a young adults service for those ages 18 to 35.

Joshua’s Place will be beginning a churchwide, full 21-day fast Jan. 9. Prayer is held every weekday morning at 6 a.m., and Fridays at 7:00 p.m.

The International House of God is located on Mulberry Street, in the Kiwanis building, across from Jimmy’s Steak and Seafood.
