Church News: Stark UMC hosting Valentine’s dinner

Sardis Baptist

Sardis Baptist Church, at 2120 Keys Ferry Road, McDonough, is hosting a revival Feb. 6-8, with services at 7 p.m., with Pastor R.E. Mays and special music nightly. The Family Worship Center Choir will perform Feb. 8.

Sardis Baptist Church will host a barbecue on Feb. 11 beginning at 5 p.m. Plates will be $8, and include barbecue, stew, cole slaw, bread, drinks and dessert. The public is invited. Regular services at the church include Sunday school at 10 a.m., worship service Sundays at 11 a.m., and Wednesday Bible study at 7 p.m.

Powerhouse Apostolic

Powerhouse Apostolic Church of Promise’s revival continues with week four, Feb. 8, 9 and 10. The revivalist for the week is Minister Renee Sears. The church is located at 3659 Brownlee Road, Forsyth. Services start each night at 7:30 p.m.

First Baptist

The First Baptist Church of Jackson’s Hearty Bunch seniors lunch will be Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. Guests will be Ralph Wilson and family.

A Brotherhood Meeting will be Feb. 11 at 8 a.m.

The Honduras Mission Team is sponsoring a “Celebration of Love” dinner and entertainment night on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $10. A photographer will be available. Sign-ups are available in Sunday School, at the Welcome Center, or in the church office.

Gospel of Christ

Israel Temple

Faith Tabernacle

The Faith Tabernacle First Deliverance Holiness Church Inc., at 216 East Ball Road in Jackson, will host its annual Valentine’s Day banquet Saturday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m., at the Butts County recreation complex, on Biles Drive in Jackson. Joshua’s Place will be hosting a chicken-que Feb. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m., at the church. All proceeds will go toward the Fearless Women's Conference and AMP Youth.
