Special Photo/// Bluebird expert Gerry Cochran addressed the March 20 meeting of the Azalea Garden Club.
The Azalea Garden Club met on Tuesday, March 20 at the Exchange Club. The program was on bluebirds.
Celida Spencer introduced the guest speaker, Gerry Cochran, along with his wife Lisa. They are both master gardeners, and Gerry Cochran is an expert on bluebirds.
He discussed where their blue color comes from, their nesting habits, how they raise their young, dimensions of bluebird houses and their natural predators. After the program, a drawing was held for a bluebird house.
Hostesses Spencer and Alma Abbott served refreshments.
The topic for the April meeting will be plants of the Bible. The Azalea Garden Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month, at the Exchange Club, at 7 p.m.
