Abundant Life

Rising Star
The annual Mother Board Ministry Conference will be held Oct. 22 at the Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, along with three other host churches -- Mt. Pleasant Baptist, Oak Grove Baptist, and Towaliga County Line Baptist. All Mother Board Ministries are invited to come and share. Jackson UMC
The annual Men’s Club Chicken Que at Jackson United Methodist Church will be Saturday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m., to 1 p.m. The cost is $8 per plate. This is the same day as the giant yard sale. First Baptist
The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at First Baptist on Monday, Oct. 24 from 2 to 7 p.m. Each Wednesday night, First Baptist of Jackson offers dinner from 5:45 to 6:20 p.m., followed by a mid-week service of Bible study and prayer. No reservations are necessary. The cost is $5 for youth and adults, and $2.50 for children 3 years through 5th-grade with a family maximum of $15. Liberty Baptist
The Liberty Baptist Church family, at 3043 High Falls Road in Jackson, is inviting the community to the following events:
• Oct. 22, 1 to 4 p.m.: Fall Festival free to the entire community. The event will feature mule-drawn wagon rides, lunch, apple bobbing, face painting, games, cotton candy and more. There will also be an adult and youth costume contest with prizes.
• Oct. 26, 6:30 p.m.: Fall party for youth and teens ages 5 to 17. The event will include a pumpkin carving lesson, goody bags and activities.
• Oct. 29: Twin Oaks Farm outing for youth and teens ages 5 to 17. The group will meet at church at 6:30 p.m. Supper and a haunted hay ride will be included.
• Oct. 30: Youth Sunday at 11 a.m., with a “special action song by our youth,” and the youth will be in charge of the positions during the morning service.
• Nov. 4: Community outreach with a free, outside movie for the entire family. Hot dogs, chips, drinks and funnel cakes will be sold by the youth department for a building fundraiser.
• Nov. 6, 6 p.m.: Service Liberty will begin the study course, “The Christian Adventure,” by Pastor Arthur D. Jett, Sr. For anyone wishing to participate, books will be $7. The class is for new Christians and mature Christians.
Liberty Baptist has a new option on its web site, and invites anyone with a prayer request to go to the web site and leave the request. These requests are prayed for by church members four times a week as a group. Many requests have been answered.

New Hope

Nazarene
Revival services begin Sunday, Oct. 23 at Jackson Church of the Nazarene, on Ga. Highway 16 E, with Dr. J. Fred Huff as speaker. Services Sunday will be at 10:45 a.m., and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, services will be at 7 p.m.
Huff is a former missionary to Africa and previously served as regional director for the continent of Africa. In addition, he has served as a former district superintendent for Georgia and is currently district superintendent for the New Mexico District Church of the Nazarene. He and his wife, the former Dinah Lee, are well known in Georgia. The public is invited to attend.
United in Faith
United in Faith Christian Ministries, with Pastor Anthony and First Lady Stephanie Williams, will be having its first fall festival on Oct. 29 from 11 a.m., to 6 p.m. The event will have jumpers, food, games and more fun including recording artist, Tru Beauty Gospel Artist, to perform and the UIFCM dance team. CrossOver Ministries
CrossOver Ministries Kids Crusade presents “Big City Adventure” every Sunday morning in the month of October. The Sixth Annual Flovilla Gospel Fest will be held Nov. 5, from 10 a.m., to 4 p.m., on the streets of downtown Flovilla. Family Life

Bold Springs
The Music Ministry of Bold Springs C.M.E. Church is inviting choirs, soloists, praise teams, and liturgical dance ministries to join in its annual Gospel Fest & Feast celebration. The program will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. The ministry is inviting participants to render two selections of praise. This is an annual fundraising event and all funds raised during this program will benefit efforts toward Phase III of Project Restoration and Renovation of the church sanctuary.

Exceedingly Grateful
Exceedingly Grateful Ministries, Inc., had its first worship service, Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Butts County Recreation Department.
