Stark United Methodist Church’s Men’s Club meeting will be on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. All men are invited to attend. The singer for the evening is Christy Chewning. First Baptist
First Baptist Church of Jackson will be hosting a Christmas Bazaar in the gym on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m., to 4 p.m. In addition to a silent auction and a Santa shop, a live auction will be featured at 1 p.m. Food will also be available for purchase. Crafters wishing to display their wares may pick up an application in the church office or contact the church office for more information. Spaces are $40 for a 10-by-10 space. Booths can be set up Friday night or Saturday morning before the bazaar begins. All proceeds benefit the Honduras Mission Team. First Baptist is located at 1227 West Third Street, across the street from Ingles supermarket.

The church is also accepting donations of items to be auctioned off in the silent auction and live auction to be held during the bazaar. This can be a gift basket, service, or other item from a business. The secret Santa shop for kids will accept donations of small items for children to purchase as Christmas gifts.
“Surviving the Holidays” will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This seminar, led by Marsha Sandridge, is designed to provide support, encouragement, and advice for getting through the upcoming holiday season to anyone who has suffered the loss of loved one. A $5 registration fee covers the cost of materials.
A Turkey Bowl and Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20. The public is invited to this free event. Games will begin at 3 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

Oakland Baptist
“Crafts for the Holiday Heart” will be on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 a.m., to 12 p.m., at Oakland Baptist Church. Tickets are $15. This includes a continental breakfast and three crafts that everyone will participate in together. The crafts you make are yours to keep and the proceeds benefit The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. If you’re interested in setting up a table to sell crafts, you may do so for the cost of a ticket. Contact the office at Oakland Baptist Church by Wednesday, Nov. 9, to reserve a table.

Rising Star
The Youth Committee of the Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, at 1644 Ga. Highway 16 West, Jackson, will be holding a drive-through mobile food pantry on Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. There is no charge or registration required to receive food. All donations will go to the church. Ole Country
The Ole Country Church, at 2649 Ga. Highway 155 N., McDonough, on Saturday, Nov. 12, will host a “One Stop Christmas Shopping Extravaganza” in the fellowship hall. Doors will be open from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m. The sale will include jewelry, wickless candles, home décor, pocketbooks, make up, food, and a shop where little ones can buy the presents they need for the adults in their life.
On Sunday morning, Nov. 13 at 10:30 a.m., the church will host “Friends Day.” The Davis Trio will be singing.
Mt. Pleasant

The church is asking for help with Thanksgiving dinner, which will be delivered on Thanksgiving Day. This is a community activity and volunteers from all over Butts County are needed to help. Come to the Jackson United Methodist Church about 10 a.m., on Thanksgiving Day, and volunteer an hour of your time to help deliver plates. The organizers need help from all the churches in the county. This is a community project and not a Jackson United Methodist Church activity.
Lizzie Berry

The Music Ministry of Bold Springs C.M.E. Church is inviting choirs, soloists, praise teams, and liturgical dance ministries to join in its annual Gospel Fest & Feast celebration. The program will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. The ministry is inviting participants to render two selections of praise. This is an annual fundraising event and all funds raised during this program will benefit efforts toward Phase III of Project Restoration and Renovation of the church sanctuary.
