The 25th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration will be held on Monday, Jan. 17, at 4 p.m., at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 709 South Mulberry Street in Jackson.

The program is sponsored by the United Coalition of Butts County, with music provided by the Butts County Community Choir and dramatic presentations from the Butts County church community. The time of the program has changed from previous years' celebrations.

The theme of the 2011 celebration is "Remember! Celebrate! Act! One Love--One Dream." The speaker will be the Rev. Christopher A. Wimberly, pastor of Hunter Hill First Baptist Church, in Atlanta.

Wimberly served as a minister of music and youth minister before being called to pastor St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Hartsville, Tenn., in 1999, and to the Hunter Hill First Baptist Church in 2004. He has been a licensed pastor since 1997 and was called to preach at age 19.

Wimberly is a native of Winder who now resides in Atlanta with his wife and daughter. He graduated from Barrow High School, attended Gainesville College, and graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., with a Bachelor of Science in religion. He also attended Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta.
