Liberty Baptist
Liberty Baptist Church, located at 3043 High Falls Road, has several upcoming events.
• Dec. 14: The Annual Youth/Teen Christmas Party will be held at 6:30 p.m.
• Dec. 21: Youth and teens will carol and present gifts at a local nursing home. Bring a permission form to be able to go with the group. Be at the church at 6:30 p.m.
The church’s Advent services began Nov. 27 and will continue through December, with the last service being on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m.

First Baptist
Wednesday, Dec. 14, First Baptist of Jackson will be showing the newest Veggie Tale movie, “The Little Drummer Boy,” at 6:30 p.m., in the sanctuary. The community is invited to this free event.
The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at First Baptist on Monday, Dec. 19 from 2 to 7 p.m.
First Baptist will be having a family-oriented Christmas Day Worship Service at 10 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 25. The Lord’s Supper will be observed during this special service.
First Baptist Church will screen the movie, “Courageous,” on Dec. 31. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., with the moving at 7 p.m. The event is free and childcare will be provided.

Jackson United
Methodist
The annual Boar’s Head Dinner at Jackson United Methodist Church is Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. To participate in the play, contact the church office at (770) 775-7238.
The Fifty Plus Club meeting is Thursday, Dec. 15 at 12 p.m. Call (770) 775-7714 for reservations.
The Christmas Cantata will be hosted by St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church at 3 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 18. The choir will include the choirs of Jackson United Methodist Church, both children and adult choirs. Members of the Presbyterian Church choir will also participate in the cantata. The instrumentalists will also join the choirs again this year.
Ben Wright will be holding Grief Group meetings on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m., in the Discovery Classroom on the second floor of the fellowship hall. No reservations are required. There is no charge and everyone is invited to come as needed.

Stark UMC
The Stark United Methodist Church Christmas Cantata will be held on Sunday, Dec. 18 during the 11 a.m. worship service. Following the service the church will have a covered-dish dinner and Santa for the kids. This is a free event and as always the community is welcome to attend. Gospel of Christ

On Saturday, Dec. 31, Bishop B.F. McKibben along with the Gospel of Christ Miracle Revival Fellowship and Oak Grove Holiness Churches will host their Watch Night Service starting at 9:30 p.m. The public is invited.

Macedonia Baptist

St. Mary
St. Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church will host a Christmas Cantata with an orchestra Dec. 18 at 3 p.m. The cantata is a presentation of the adult and children’s choirs of Jackson United Methodist Church and St. Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church. Lizzie Berry
The Lizzie Berry Baptist Church will be celebrating Friends and Family Day on Sunday, Dec. 18 during the morning worship service at 10 a.m. The church is located at 190 Thomas Ferry Road, Jackson. Call (770) 775-6778.
Family Life
Family Life Church, located at 12689 Highway 87, Juliette, will be hosting its Christmas play, “A Christmas to Remember,” Sunday, Dec. 18 beginning 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The church will be serving hot dogs, chili and desserts after the program.
House of God
The International House of God is located on Mulberry Street, in the Kiwanis building, across from Jimmy’s Steak and Seafood. Heart and Soul
